The Benefits of Working Out

If You Are Looking To Lose Weight, This Is Your Ticket To Success

If you are looking to lose a little weight because the cheeseburgers are finally catching up to you, your you are looking for a way to lose weight so that you can sculpt your body better than you ever have before, then you need to know about the benefits of working out. Certainly you know that exercise is good for you and a healthy alternative to vegging out and watching The Wonder Years on Netflix, but what some people don’t know is that you can exercise smarter and get more benefits from an effective workout then working out longer and wasting your time. So if you are looking for a way to lose weight and need to start a weight loss workout routine, check out these helpful tips below.

Tip #1: Make Sure You Get Your Heart Rate High Enough

The very first thing you need to do after you get your gym membership, your exercise equipment, or your running shoes is to figure out what your maximum heart rate is. If you are looking for a way to lose weight, this is essential. You can do this quite easily by pushing your self to your extreme limits during a workout session, like a hard set of wind sprints or a long session on the bicycle at your fastest, so that you know just how fast your heart can beat. Some maximum heart rates are only around 140, but some can commonly go as high as 210. Most people fall in between those two numbers.

The reason why you need to know your maximum heart rate is because in order to be able to find a way to lose weight through your exercise routine, you’ve got to have your workout cause your heart rate to exceed 60% of your maximum heart rate at the very minimum. That’s called the “fat burning zone” and allows you to be able to sculpt, trim, or lose inches around the waist, depending on what your individual needs are.

Tip #2: Establish an All Around Routine

If you are looking to establish a weight loss workout routine, a common mistake that many people make is that they just simply do the same exercise over and over and over again. That’s awesome if you want to be able to have fabulous legs because you can run a couple miles, but if you want to truly tone, trim, and have a way to lose weight effectively, you’ll need to vary your routines up a little bit. You certainly want some cardio workouts done every day, but instead of jogging six days a week, try jogging three and then throw in a day where you are on a bicycle and a day when you swim a few laps. Not only will you still get the effective calories burnt every single time, but you’ll have an effective weight loss workout routine that will help you be able to manage your weight and get toned and sculpted effectively.

Tip #3: You’re Going to Have to Do Something About Your Diet

As much as it might pain you to do this, you won’t be losing much weight if all you do is add exercise to your routine. Sure – you could end up burning a full 800 calories every day with an effective weight lost workout routine, but that’s not going to do you any good if you’re pumping in an extra 1,000 calories with a fast food meal every day because you don’t get much time for lunch. If you are looking for a way to lose weight effectively, you are going to need to eliminate 3,500 calories per week to lose one pound of fat weight. That’s a lot of calories, though if you eat three double cheeseburgers per week, that’s really all it is.

When you reduce your caloric intake and increase your exercise output, that really is the most effective way to lose weight. Don’t get fooled by the initial five or six pounds you might initially lose, because you are losing mostly water and waste weight in the initial days of your new weight loss workout routine. Instead, expect to lose about a pound or two every week that you are consistently following your new routines and that really is the best way to lose weight.

Tip #4: Push Through The Initial Pain

Did you know that if you want to be able to have an effective weight loss workout routine, you’re going to have to stick with it consistently for at least 21 days? That’s because that is how long it takes most of us to be able to establish a new lifestyle routine. When you can make it to the three week mark, you’ll be able to effectively lose weight because you’ll have established an effective weight loss workout routine that works specifically for you.

Most people just kind of shrug this advice off, but you need to follow it to the letter if you want to find a way to lose weight effectively. During the first week you won’t feel so good when you workout and that will make you want to quit, but that is easily overcome by your determination. In week 2 you’ll start feeling more fatigued as your body’s metabolism starts to reset itself and again you’ll think about quitting, but you’ll be encouraged by your weight loss results and continue to press on. It is week 3 where it really becomes difficult.

In the third week your weight loss will calm down, but you’ll start feeling better. You’ll also start craving the old foods like a crack addict jonesing for his next joint. Everything you think about will involve your favorite unhealthy foods and habits and you will absolutely want a taste of it. You’ll even justify it to yourself that it is ok to have just a little taste, and if you give into that, you’ve lost your effective weight loss workout routine and will have to start over. Press through the pain that happens in each week and you’ll succeed.

So if you are looking for an effective way to lose weight, be sure to follow these four easy tips to having an effective weight loss workout routine and you’ll start seeing that unwanted fat start melting away faster than you could have ever imagined.
